Chapter Thirteen: The New Mythology of Sea Monsters: Wherein the True Nature and Solution of Some of the Mysteries is Disclosed, while Identifying others where no Solution will ever be Known.

Ellis wraps up the book in a positive, albeit mysterious, manner. I found two things worth mentioning from this chapter:

1. The Eltonian Rule: the hypothesis that most animal are preyed upon by other animals approximately 10x bigger than they are.

2. The Norwegian word for giant squid is Kjaempeblaekspruten.
