You can find a great review of this book here, on a blog called The Archaeologist’s Guide to the Galaxy. It was after I read that book review that I decided to read Terry Pratchett’s The Wee Free Men.
As my first Terry Pratchett book, it was a little more young adult than I had expected. However, I enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys YAL and who is young at heart. The main character – Tiffany – is strong, realistic (as realistic as a witch on the chalk can be), and easy to identify with.
And of course the Nac Mac Feegle are irresistable!
Terry Pratchett’s The Wee Free Men is a quirky, fun-filled romp through fairy land reminiscent of The Wizard of Oz. If you’re ready to relax, laugh, and take a vacation to younger days, pick up this book!
